Themes: making money, preserving money, education, home and family
Pluto moved into Capricorn on November 26th 2008 where it will stay until 2024. Capricorn is eight signs past Gemini and therefore Pluto falls into your eighth house of death and rebirth. This means it is time to get rid of what is not working and especially anything to do with joint finances, banking, loans, credit, insurance and taxes. Pluto clears away anything that is not serving you and enables you to begin anew. People often come into their greatest wealth during this cycle. Pluto breaks down the old and allows you to attract the wealth you deserve.
The North Node is currently in Aquarius, but at the end of 2009 it goes into Capricorn until early 2011. This means that the Karmic pull catches up with the Pluto in your eighth house. Some of you will inherit money, legal settlements will tend to work in your favour and situations where you have had trouble getting your money back will resolve themselves.
Jupiter moved into Aquarius on January 5th 2009, which is a fellow Air sign and highly complimentary for Gemini. It is in your ninth house which will lead to opportunities in education, travel, media, marketing, publishing, writing and spiritual learning. Neptune conjoins with Jupiter during 2009 which brings hope, gifts from abroad, possibly an internet business that markets you internationally, spiritual studies and maybe publishing your book. One area of potential hazard is in agreements with others. Are they operating in good faith? With Neptune in this house, there could be legal issues that come to the surface. Do not take chances, make sure you have contracts that are signed and sealed. If you can disciple yourself to avoid trouble, or people who represent danger to your well-being, then you can find 2009 to be a year of great success. Otherwise, you may be tempting a great loss.
Saturn entered Virgo in the fall of 2007 and is still there until the end of October 2009. This has been a very stressful time for Gemini in the area of the home. There have been some burdens connected with real estate with endings and new beginnings. By October 2009, Saturn goes into Libra which makes a favourable aspect to Gemini, moving into your fifth house of creativity, adventure, sport and fun. Hope will start to spring when Mars enters Aquarius for the first time in two years from February to March 2009. There will be more hopefulness again from October 2009 onwards to the end of the year.
Many Geminis are likely to experience a year of steep valleys and peaks in 2009. On the positive side, this year indicates an increase in confidence and hopefulness about the future. It favours travel, education and publishing. It also favours romance, or travel to romantic places and entertainment venues that have a romantic aspect to them. Your social life will go quite well. There are very few problems on the surface, where you are in control.
However, behind the scenes, things may be falling apart in ways you never imagined. Events occur that are totally unexpected, due to Uranus making a square to your sun sign, and they may greatly disrupt your life and your plans. You may be counting on things to unfold in a certain way, but they don’t unfold the way you planned. There is nothing you can do about this except adjust as quickly as possible.
You will not be lacking for opportunities to increase your income. You can make more money in 2009. You may also find yourself in a risky position where financial loss is possible. Therefore it is not a year to take risks.
If you are single and available, this year can bring you exciting new relationships. You may engage in activities you never tried before, or go to places where you have not been before. It is a good year to fall in love with someone. However, with Pluto in your eighth house, it is also a year when you could separate or divorce so there will be mixed blessings in relationships. You do need honesty and open communication so that issues can be brought into the open and resolved amicably.
This is a year in which it would benefit you to learn to relax and take your time. Meditation and slow conscious breathing would be very helpful to you in reducing your stress levels.
