Cancer Forecast 2009

Themes: marriage, partnerships, business ventures, learning and ideas.

There are lots of big things happening for you especially in personal relationships and in the business area. Pluto moved into Capricorn on November 26th 2008 and stays there for the next sixteen years. This means that it falls into your seventh house as Capricorn is the opposite sign to Cancer. Your one-to-one relationships will come under the microscope during this Pluto cycle. There will be huge transformation in this area. For some of you it could mean divorce and upheavals and maybe even going for marriage counselling. For others, it may mean finding space for your soul mate and life partner to come into your life.

Big things are starting to happen in your life. These are the kind of things that will define the quality and direction of the rest of your life. One the positive side your personal charisma and innovative mind wins you great support. At times you can feel truly inspired, especially when it comes to ideas on how to grow your business, increase sales or solve problems. In personal relationships, your power of attraction is strong. If you wish, you may meet many new and interesting people this year that may turn out to become part of your social circle.

Yet there are also stirrings deep within you that seem obsessed with the idea that you must make drastic changes in your life.

With the North Node in Capricorn from August 2009- 2011, it is also in your seventh house of relationships. This means that if you have cleared out old baggage it will be a great time for you to find your soul mate and to connect with some very important, life-changing relationships.

Jupiter is in Aquarius from 5th January 2009 for the next year. This brings opportunities and luck in your eighth house. This means that you are protected in anything connected with taxes, insurance, debts and joint finances. However, with Neptune making a conjunction with Jupiter during 2009, it is wise to be very careful about your financial advisers and banks and to make sure that you have protected yourself adequately. Sometimes Neptune can bring people who are not honest or sincere and may not be acting in your best interests. Make sure any verbal agreements are made in writing as well.

Saturn has been in Virgo since the fall of 2007 and stays there until the end of October 2009. This means it is currently in your third house of studying, learning, your community and short trips. You may find yourself studying, reading and working hard on a written project. On October 29th 2009, it moves into Libra and will be in your fourth house for the next two and a half years. This brings endings and new beginnings into the area of home and family. You will need to let go of the old and create space for the new to come in. Often this means a move to a new home or renovating and repairing the one you are in.

Career and money will be a most critical area for you. It is an excellent time to train for a new career, but make sure it is something you really want to do. As a Cancer you like to nurture something to success, so be sure about your direction.

However, this year you may accomplish much. You are hard working and productive, as well as original and innovative.

In relationships you will have bags of charm and attractiveness and also Pluto in the seventh will give you chemistry with another person. You may meet someone from abroad and also have some wonderful experiences with friends.

With you health it is vital that you pay attention to your emotions and verbalise your feelings. There is a tendency for you to hold everything in and then it erupts later on in an unpleasant way. If you can force yourself to speak up while it is happening, you will save yourself a lot of heartache down the line. Some of you are feeling more vigorous and youthful than you have felt in years, while others may be suffering great stress. In the former case, your physical and mental well-being come from being active and productive. You are attracting new people and new conditions in your life, and this gives you a greater sense of confidence. You have a “glow” about you that is very attractive.

The other Cancers are lacking these same qualities. Instead of discipline and being productive you seem to spend way too much time brooding about your present and future conditions. The pressure of work or an unfulfilling relationship is taking a toll on your health, both mentally and physically. The sooner you let it go, the more quickly you can start over again, and that process will bring you relief.

Gemini Forecast 2009

Themes: making money, preserving money, education, home and family

Pluto moved into Capricorn on November 26th 2008 where it will stay until 2024. Capricorn is eight signs past Gemini and therefore Pluto falls into your eighth house of death and rebirth. This means it is time to get rid of what is not working and especially anything to do with joint finances, banking, loans, credit, insurance and taxes. Pluto clears away anything that is not serving you and enables you to begin anew. People often come into their greatest wealth during this cycle. Pluto breaks down the old and allows you to attract the wealth you deserve.

The North Node is currently in Aquarius, but at the end of 2009 it goes into Capricorn until early 2011. This means that the Karmic pull catches up with the Pluto in your eighth house. Some of you will inherit money, legal settlements will tend to work in your favour and situations where you have had trouble getting your money back will resolve themselves.

Jupiter moved into Aquarius on January 5th 2009, which is a fellow Air sign and highly complimentary for Gemini. It is in your ninth house which will lead to opportunities in education, travel, media, marketing, publishing, writing and spiritual learning. Neptune conjoins with Jupiter during 2009 which brings hope, gifts from abroad, possibly an internet business that markets you internationally, spiritual studies and maybe publishing your book. One area of potential hazard is in agreements with others. Are they operating in good faith? With Neptune in this house, there could be legal issues that come to the surface. Do not take chances, make sure you have contracts that are signed and sealed. If you can disciple yourself to avoid trouble, or people who represent danger to your well-being, then you can find 2009 to be a year of great success. Otherwise, you may be tempting a great loss.

Saturn entered Virgo in the fall of 2007 and is still there until the end of October 2009. This has been a very stressful time for Gemini in the area of the home. There have been some burdens connected with real estate with endings and new beginnings. By October 2009, Saturn goes into Libra which makes a favourable aspect to Gemini, moving into your fifth house of creativity, adventure, sport and fun. Hope will start to spring when Mars enters Aquarius for the first time in two years from February to March 2009. There will be more hopefulness again from October 2009 onwards to the end of the year.

Many Geminis are likely to experience a year of steep valleys and peaks in 2009. On the positive side, this year indicates an increase in confidence and hopefulness about the future. It favours travel, education and publishing. It also favours romance, or travel to romantic places and entertainment venues that have a romantic aspect to them. Your social life will go quite well. There are very few problems on the surface, where you are in control.

However, behind the scenes, things may be falling apart in ways you never imagined. Events occur that are totally unexpected, due to Uranus making a square to your sun sign, and they may greatly disrupt your life and your plans. You may be counting on things to unfold in a certain way, but they don’t unfold the way you planned. There is nothing you can do about this except adjust as quickly as possible.

You will not be lacking for opportunities to increase your income. You can make more money in 2009. You may also find yourself in a risky position where financial loss is possible. Therefore it is not a year to take risks.

If you are single and available, this year can bring you exciting new relationships. You may engage in activities you never tried before, or go to places where you have not been before. It is a good year to fall in love with someone. However, with Pluto in your eighth house, it is also a year when you could separate or divorce so there will be mixed blessings in relationships. You do need honesty and open communication so that issues can be brought into the open and resolved amicably.

This is a year in which it would benefit you to learn to relax and take your time. Meditation and slow conscious breathing would be very helpful to you in reducing your stress levels.

Taurus Forecast 2009

Themes: education, travel, career dreams, learning to play more.

With Pluto moving out of Sagittarius where it has been for the last thirteen years and into Capricorn on November 26th 2008, where it will stay for the next sixteen years, many Taureans will be breathing a huge sigh of relief. This has been quite a stressful time for Taurus and you have had to deal with many upheavals and changes. Now that Pluto is in an Earth sign like Taurus, you will find that you will feel less stressed. Pluto is moving into your ninth house which rules education, international matters, legal affairs, teaching and publishing. All these areas could come under the spotlight during this next Pluto cycle. You will be expanding your horizons and could very well take up a deeper course of study or research something spiritual that appeals to you. Your challenge this year is to be more realistic and practical in all aspects of your life. When you are focused and full of energy, you are able to accomplish wonderful things. You are inspired and you can start new projects that will lead to success, as long as you stay the course and do not entertain too many unrealistic thoughts that detract from this purpose. Overall it will be a good year for Taureans with plenty of opportunities for success. However, it also appears to be a year of distractions and fantasies. You are advised to shake them off, and set your sights upon the attainable and real.

Jupiter moved into Aquarius on January 5th 2009 and is transiting your tenth house. It stays there for the next year, so this is an excellent time to expand your career. You may want to change jobs or to explore new avenues. Neptune aligns with Jupiter in your tenth house during this year, so you may well find success and expansion to go after your career dreams. With Neptune in your tenth house, you may find that you are fantasising about your career ambitions and may be setting yourself up for disappointment. If you live in the now, you will be all right as you will exude plenty of charisma this year, but you must assess carefully the people who come into your life at this time. The North Node is in Aquarius from 2008 until August 2009 – so you will have the destiny pull of the North Node with Neptune in your tenth house of career. This is likely to open up many doors for you, especially in February and August.

Saturn points us to where we need to be responsible in our lives. It has been in Virgo since September 2007 and will stay there until October 29th 2009. It is currently transiting your fifth house encouraging you to get in touch with your creativity and your identity. You also need to have more fun in your life and to lighten up a bit more. It’s time to find some balance between working conscientiously which you Taureans are apt to do, and also having some more pleasure in your life. On October 29th 2009 Saturn goes into you sixth house of work so you may find yourself learning new skills in order to prepare for a different field of work. Also your health will be a focus and you will need to be responsible about your nutrition and getting sufficient exercise. The sixth house also rules service to others so you may be volunteering or finding work that involves your local community where you can make a difference.

There are plenty of opportunities for accomplishment and success in work this year. If you wish, you could even find multiple streams of income. Your earning power is great, and your reliability instills trust in you from others. It is possible that your dependability brings forth attractive offers to do even more important work , with more responsibilities. You can do it now.

The first part of the year will be about your career dreams becoming possible and by the end of the year it will bring them into reality. It is potentially a turning point year for you.

To recap, with career and money, there will be plenty of opportunities for success with creating multiple streams of income. You do need to take advantage of the opportunities that will come to you. Be careful of jealousy around you especially in the workplace. Make sure you are discreet and keep important information to yourself.

Aries Forecast 2009

Aries
Themes: career, work responsibilities, new friendships.

Pluto moved into Capricorn on November 26th 2008 and stays there for the next sixteen years. This means it will be transiting your tenth house sector of career, public reputation and life destiny. It is forcing you to take a closer look at your career – you need to clear the decks of anything that is no longer working for you and create more of a sense of purpose in your life. You are beginning a long-term process of uprooting and rebuilding nearly everything you have constructed in your life so far. This could involve home, family, relationships of all kinds and your goals for the future. You are probably coming to a point where you realise that the path you are on is either not fulfilling, not challenging enough for you, or you feel overwhelmed with too many problems that seem like they will never end. Something inside you craves for more usage of your deepest resources or talents. It is as if you feel that only part of your life potential is activated, and you seriously desire a more completely engaging life. You may be in danger of feeling bored or trapped. This is an uncomfortable feeling for you, because your basic nature is adventurous, and if you are bored or trapped, there is no telling what you might do on an impulse if it is strong enough.

Jupiter went into Aquarius on January 5th 2009 for the next year, which falls in your eleventh house. This is all about friendships, dreams and wishes which will be a big focus for you in the coming year. There will be lots of new friends who will expand your goals and will bring new opportunities to you. Mars goes into Aquarius in February until mid March 2009 and will be the catalyst for you to take action in all areas of your life.

Jupiter aligns with Neptune in Aquarius during 2009. Neptune deals with faith, hope, creative aspiration, film, the arts and healing. This brings hope to your eleventh house, making your dreams possible. However, it can also bring confusion, so it is important that you keep your wits about you and make sure you discern between true friends and those who are fair-weather friends who will only be with you during the good times.

Saturn in Virgo is in your sixth house until October 2009. This means you need to focus on your job skills and you may have to learn new skills. You will also need to be more focused. Saturn goes into Libra on October 29th 2009 for two and a half years. It is in the opposite sign to Aries, so the focus will be not as strongly on your job, but more on your relationships. Any relationships that are difficult – business and personal relationships – will either have to end, or you will have to work hard at them. Many will divorce, or on the other end of the scale, many of you will commit to a marriage. If you have been alone and consumed with your work, Saturn will bring more of your attention to your relationships. Saturn was in Aries about fifteen years ago which brought about a more inward cycle for you. From October 2009 it will be time to get out into the world and to transform your career and business. As the year progresses, you are going to manifest your goals or at least start to see that they are possible.

With Saturn in your sixth house, it is important that you keep up with your health maintenance and you regularly exercise and eat well. It is not a time to overindulge or to neglect your daily regime.

For the first nine months of the year, it is vital that you try to find out exactly what you want to do with your life.

In relationships, your social scene will expand, but make sure that you don’t get serious too quickly. Give yourself time and make sure you are really ready if someone wants a more committed relationship. Aries is not a sign that likes to lose its independence, so it is better to start with a friendship and to stay on that level until you are sure that you want further involvement.

Jupiter & Neptune conjunction in Aquarius - what does it mean?

The keywords for Jupiter are: faith, luck, expansion, optimism, abundance, growth.

The keywords for Aquarius are: awakening, originality, technology, futuristic thinking, idealism, friendship, collaboration, the new, the unconventional, humanitarianism.

Look out for innovations that bring radical change to our society and expand the vision of how the universe works. Jupiter seeks to widen the breadth of vision, and in Aquarius, that’s likely to bring about a new perspective in relation to our idea of time. Maybe we will start to time travel? There will probably be an increase in interest in subjects such as astrology, the occult, psychic phenomena and the like. Much of the current interest in ancient wisdom could expand and be integrated into the 21st century.

We are likely to see more interest in life beyond Earth, much more space travel and new advances in exploring the frontiers of the mind. The buzz about UFO’s will continue to grow and this could be the time that we have our minds blown open. There will be more studies into the development of our brains and how we can utilise much more of our brainpower.

It’s going to be a great year for brainstorming in large groups as Jupiter in Aquarius boosts collective endeavours, especially the ones that encourage reform or even revolution. Jupiter rules faith and we could be focusing on global meditations or prayer. There will be a coming together of people from around the world – without boundaries of religion, sex or gender. In many ways we will see more optimism and faith in the people even though our old structures may be crumbling around us. The financial system is going to change radically. Most likely is that the proliferation of complementary currencies will continue worldwide and people will come together to create more sustainable local communities. The crisis in the financial system will force the brightest brains to come together to build a new economic architecture for the future. Our banking systems will be unrecognisable a decade from now. There will be new innovations and most likely a new world currency. It’s going to be exciting and scary at the same time. But out of all this destruction will hopefully come positive transformation for the betterment of our world.

In 2010, Jupiter will align in the sign of Aries, at zero degrees, or what is commonly known as the World Point. When this alignment occurs there is a great scientific breakthrough that impacts the world, facilitating an even greater shift in consciousness. Where this conjunction falls in your horoscope shows you where you will feel compelled to take a risk with your life, to experience adventure, to explore your creative potential and to overcome the fear of life.

Watch out for tremendous breakthroughs in computing and high-tech to take place, potentially empowering more rapid positive change to manifest. Some of these radical ideas will be local currencies – which are already growing – digital barter economies and the gathering together of tribes resonating with a particular purpose.

Jupiter will catch up with and conjunct Neptune in Aquarius in May of 2009, and stay conjunct all summer. This can be great for the spiritually evolved, but not too good for those with serious drinking and drug issues. Jupiter which rules excess combined with Neptune which rules liquids and drugs shows how this could manifest. The last time Jupiter was conjunct with Neptune in Aquarius was 168 years ago – so it has not happened in our lifetime.

The last Jupiter conjunction in another sign was January 9th, 1997 at 27 degrees Capricorn. That year there was record flooding (Jupiter – too much of Neptune – water) in Northern California, as well as major floods in the Ohio River Valley, the Red River in Grand Forks, and Fort Collins, Colorado.

To be on the safe side, I recommend that you purchase flood insurance cover for 2009. There also need to be more tsunami warning systems in place before the summertime. Religious or ideological fervour could run rampant as well. In fact, large political movements will have plenty of energy.

Not all of the ways that Jupiter and Neptune can manifest are pleasant, especially within the context of difficult Saturn aspects to Uranus and Pluto. I have already mentioned the possibility of extensive flooding, but there can also be many natural disasters during 2009 and into 2010. Neptune rules tears and sadness. Symbolically, Jupiter and Neptune can correspond to a time of great sadness and many tears. With Pluto in Capricorn being squared by Saturn in Libra towards the end of 2009, the potential for a loss of a popular leader, or for many people to experience natural calamities such as earthquakes, hurricanes and tsunamis could be on the cards.

Perhaps we will get another motivating and inspirational speech as Barack Obama take office on January 20th 2009. Since he was elected president when Saturn was at 19 degrees Virgo, he’s going to have to try to do the impossible and keep his promises or he will come under severe criticism when Saturn resumes direction motion. Since the Israeli war with the Palestinians began just before Saturn’s retrograde this suggest it will continue through January and then again when Saturn approaches 21 degrees Virgo near the solar and lunar eclipses in August.

If you have been waiting for that time when you would have a voice and could be heard, then 2009 is your year. You could find your voice and you will find that others share the same concerns as you do. In 2009, there will be strength in numbers. It’s going to be a year of extremes – especially with the Saturn Uranus opposition occurring on and off throughout the year. We will come face to face with extremism, in the world, in our communities and in our personal lives. We will make progress in the areas of health, global pollution, energy and cleaning up the corruption in politics and in government. The key will be moderation on all levels: globally, in your community and personally.

Holiday Week in Astrology

Hello everyone
I thought you might like to know the astrological aspects for the Holiday Week.
On December 24th, Mercury in Capricorn is sextile Uranus in Pisces, which is great news for you last minute shoppers. It means that in the eleventh hour an inspiration will come to you for that present that has been eluding you. It's a time for coming up with original ideas and tuning into your higher mind.

On December 25th - Happy Xmas!
Mercury in Capricorn is trine to Saturn in Virgo and sextile to Uranus in Pisces. This ia a great time to relax a little, take it easy, but be prepared for something a bit different to happen as well!
Saturn in Virgo is opposing Uranus in Pisces - so give some thought to integrating hte old and the new.

On December 26th, Mercury in Capricorn is trine Saturn in Virgo. It's time to think seriously about your goals, especially things that will need long-term mental focus.
Venus is quincunx Saturn - which can indicate that you may need to make and adjustment or compromise in your relationships. Maybe you didnt get the present you expected or maybe you are ending up doing all the work around the house...whatever it is, be prepared to make allowances. Also, the fact that Venus is in Aquarius, means that there will be a desire to give money and resources to charity and to the less-fortunate, but also with Saturn in Virgo, there will be the caution with spending and wanting to be more frugal.

On December 27th, Mars goes into Capricorn until February 4th. Remember that Mars is exalted in Capricorn, so it means that it is great to think about your New Years Resolutions. There will be FIVE planets in Capricorn - which is a Grand Stellium - Mars, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto - and also fleetingly the Moon! With all that practical Capricorn energy, do take a look at what you want to achieve, and set yourself targets and actions to take you to your destination.

The New Moon enters Capricorn at 7.22am in US Eastern time, at 12.22pm in London and on December 28th at 1.22am in New Zealand.

This is a good time for new beginnings in work and career. It's powerful because there are so many Capricornian planets - but be ready for things that do not work for you to be discarded. Sometimes this can be painful, but remember that it usually turns out for the best - especially if you are holding onto something that is no longer working for you.

On December 28th, Mars is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn - this is very good for stamina and endurance.
Also on the 28th, Venus in Aquarius is conjunct Neptune in Aquarius - this is wonderful for creative expression. Neptune is the higher octave of love and with it being in Aquarius with Venus, there is a desire for charity work and helping others.

On December 31st, Mercury in Capricorn is conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn. This is good for positive thinking, setting goals. It's also very useful for anything connected with words, books, publishing and getting yourself out into the public eye.

Finally, Saturn goes retrograde until May 16th 2009 - so this will give you the opportunity to examine all the structures and habit patterns in your life and discard those that no longer serve you.

That's all for now.

Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

Astrological Predictions 2009-2010

Jupiter goes into Aquarius and conjuncts Neptune.
Saturn Uranus and Pluto are all in a challenging relationship with each other.
How will these astrological configurations affect world events from 2009-2010?

Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, abundance, growth and prosperity moves from the earth sign of Capricorn into the air sign of Aquarius on January 5th 2009 until January 17th 2010. Not only that, Jupiter conjuncts with Neptune three times in 2009: May 27th, July 10th and December 21st. During the forthcoming two year time band of hard aspects from Saturn, lies this seven month window when there is a great hope that something magical is transpiring.

Neptune is the principle of romantic thinking, ideals and altruism. Aquarius represents the principles of equality to the masses and the possibility of a bright new world and future. There is certainly justified concern about the economy and the financial markets as we head into 2009. There is the feeling that things are bad and will only get worse. But with Jupiter going into Aquarius and forming three conjunctions with Neptune, there is also immense hope that there will be innovative solutions found to all the problems in our system. The masses want to believe. Jupiter in Aquarius is inspirational and uplifting. It is a time for tapping into the finest aspects of human potential.

Barack Obama, has Aquarius Rising and thus identifies with many of the characteristics of Aquarius. He inherits the White House under difficult circumstances, but he represents change which is ruled by Aquarius. He connects with the hopes and dreams of the people which are all about Jupiter in Aquarius. For his first year in office, the majority of Americans and others will allow him this honeymoon period. Many will believe that he can change things for the better and for the good of all. He will appear to be a consensus builder, a master communicator, someone who is able to unite and bring opposite sides together. It is during this period, through to December 2009, the he will need to set into motion the programs and policies that will work, for this is the time he will have the most support from the greatest amount of people.

He will need to deliver on the promises he made during his election campaign: “Change you can believe in” was his slogan and he will have to back this up with tangible results for the people. His book, “the Audacity of Hope” is a keyword for Jupiter, Neptune and Aquarius right out of the classical astrology textbooks. There is a new hope and inspiration for the world and whilst there are certainly some very difficult aspects with Saturn opposing Uranus and making challenging aspects to Pluto in the upcoming year, the Neptune Jupiter conjunction in Aquarius brings hope, compassion and the possibility of global unity.

Jupiter and Neptune can work well together and could bring many new inventions to the market available for public consumption. Aquarius always means greater efficiency and speed and also free information and use – this is certainly true for the internet and other freely available information. Aquarian thinking is always outside the box, so be prepared for some wonderful new innovations that will enhance all our lives in the next year or so.

There are other ways in which Jupiter and Neptune can manifest and not all are positive, especially within the context of the hard aspects to Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. For example, Jupiter rules exaggeration, or excess. Anything it aspects can be accompanied by more than the usual or required amount of that principle. In addition to dreams and wishes, Neptune also rules water, liquids and fluids. It is not unusual to see great floods or oil spills that threaten lives, food supplies or nature, especially with Uranus and Saturn involved. Saturn represents loss, Uranus rules sudden, shocking events, and Pluto can represent the threat of destruction or death. Natural disasters may be in great abundance during this year and even into 2010. But Neptune also rules tears and sadness. Symbolically, Jupiter with Neptune can correspond to a time of great sadness and many tears. With Pluto in Capricorn, being squared by Saturn, the potential loss of a popular leader, or for large numbers of people being claimed by floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes is within the realm of possibilities during the configuration of planets during 2009-2010.

2009 will be a year of extremes. On the one hand, Saturn in challenging aspect to Uranus and Pluto indicates threats to stability that confront the world. This affects the global economy, financial markets, security and terrorist attacks. There are dangers of falling into a deep depression. The danger of an increase in terrorist attacks is a possibility with Saturn moving into its waning square to Pluto. There is a danger of increase in political assassinations worldwide with Pluto in Capricorn.

Yet there is hope and belief in a better future. There is the belief that through positive thinking our world leaders can come together to solve the serious problems and instill faith in a bright future. With Aquarius featuring so prominently in the line-up, people will want to take responsibility for their own future. There will be the growth of community and the masses caring and becoming responsible for their destiny.

The polarity will swing from the emotions of fear to hope. They will be with us throughout 2009-2010. There will be difficult times, but as long as there is hope, we can move forward. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all in their waxing phase (conjunction to opposition), to one another for many more decades and these are longer-term trends and cycles than those involving just Saturn alone. They offer great hope for the world to solve the issues we face.
