Hello everyone
I thought you might like to know the astrological aspects for the Holiday Week.
On December 24th, Mercury in Capricorn is sextile Uranus in Pisces, which is great news for you last minute shoppers. It means that in the eleventh hour an inspiration will come to you for that present that has been eluding you. It's a time for coming up with original ideas and tuning into your higher mind.
On December 25th - Happy Xmas!
Mercury in Capricorn is trine to Saturn in Virgo and sextile to Uranus in Pisces. This ia a great time to relax a little, take it easy, but be prepared for something a bit different to happen as well!
Saturn in Virgo is opposing Uranus in Pisces - so give some thought to integrating hte old and the new.
On December 26th, Mercury in Capricorn is trine Saturn in Virgo. It's time to think seriously about your goals, especially things that will need long-term mental focus.
Venus is quincunx Saturn - which can indicate that you may need to make and adjustment or compromise in your relationships. Maybe you didnt get the present you expected or maybe you are ending up doing all the work around the house...whatever it is, be prepared to make allowances. Also, the fact that Venus is in Aquarius, means that there will be a desire to give money and resources to charity and to the less-fortunate, but also with Saturn in Virgo, there will be the caution with spending and wanting to be more frugal.
On December 27th, Mars goes into Capricorn until February 4th. Remember that Mars is exalted in Capricorn, so it means that it is great to think about your New Years Resolutions. There will be FIVE planets in Capricorn - which is a Grand Stellium - Mars, Sun, Mercury, Jupiter and Pluto - and also fleetingly the Moon! With all that practical Capricorn energy, do take a look at what you want to achieve, and set yourself targets and actions to take you to your destination.
The New Moon enters Capricorn at 7.22am in US Eastern time, at 12.22pm in London and on December 28th at 1.22am in New Zealand.
This is a good time for new beginnings in work and career. It's powerful because there are so many Capricornian planets - but be ready for things that do not work for you to be discarded. Sometimes this can be painful, but remember that it usually turns out for the best - especially if you are holding onto something that is no longer working for you.
On December 28th, Mars is conjunct Pluto in Capricorn - this is very good for stamina and endurance.
Also on the 28th, Venus in Aquarius is conjunct Neptune in Aquarius - this is wonderful for creative expression. Neptune is the higher octave of love and with it being in Aquarius with Venus, there is a desire for charity work and helping others.
On December 31st, Mercury in Capricorn is conjunct Jupiter in Capricorn. This is good for positive thinking, setting goals. It's also very useful for anything connected with words, books, publishing and getting yourself out into the public eye.
Finally, Saturn goes retrograde until May 16th 2009 - so this will give you the opportunity to examine all the structures and habit patterns in your life and discard those that no longer serve you.
That's all for now.
Wishing you all a very happy, healthy and peaceful New Year.

Astrological Predictions 2009-2010
Jupiter goes into Aquarius and conjuncts Neptune.
Saturn Uranus and Pluto are all in a challenging relationship with each other.
How will these astrological configurations affect world events from 2009-2010?
Jupiter, the planet of good fortune, abundance, growth and prosperity moves from the earth sign of Capricorn into the air sign of Aquarius on January 5th 2009 until January 17th 2010. Not only that, Jupiter conjuncts with Neptune three times in 2009: May 27th, July 10th and December 21st. During the forthcoming two year time band of hard aspects from Saturn, lies this seven month window when there is a great hope that something magical is transpiring.
Neptune is the principle of romantic thinking, ideals and altruism. Aquarius represents the principles of equality to the masses and the possibility of a bright new world and future. There is certainly justified concern about the economy and the financial markets as we head into 2009. There is the feeling that things are bad and will only get worse. But with Jupiter going into Aquarius and forming three conjunctions with Neptune, there is also immense hope that there will be innovative solutions found to all the problems in our system. The masses want to believe. Jupiter in Aquarius is inspirational and uplifting. It is a time for tapping into the finest aspects of human potential.
Barack Obama, has Aquarius Rising and thus identifies with many of the characteristics of Aquarius. He inherits the White House under difficult circumstances, but he represents change which is ruled by Aquarius. He connects with the hopes and dreams of the people which are all about Jupiter in Aquarius. For his first year in office, the majority of Americans and others will allow him this honeymoon period. Many will believe that he can change things for the better and for the good of all. He will appear to be a consensus builder, a master communicator, someone who is able to unite and bring opposite sides together. It is during this period, through to December 2009, the he will need to set into motion the programs and policies that will work, for this is the time he will have the most support from the greatest amount of people.
He will need to deliver on the promises he made during his election campaign: “Change you can believe in” was his slogan and he will have to back this up with tangible results for the people. His book, “the Audacity of Hope” is a keyword for Jupiter, Neptune and Aquarius right out of the classical astrology textbooks. There is a new hope and inspiration for the world and whilst there are certainly some very difficult aspects with Saturn opposing Uranus and making challenging aspects to Pluto in the upcoming year, the Neptune Jupiter conjunction in Aquarius brings hope, compassion and the possibility of global unity.
Jupiter and Neptune can work well together and could bring many new inventions to the market available for public consumption. Aquarius always means greater efficiency and speed and also free information and use – this is certainly true for the internet and other freely available information. Aquarian thinking is always outside the box, so be prepared for some wonderful new innovations that will enhance all our lives in the next year or so.
There are other ways in which Jupiter and Neptune can manifest and not all are positive, especially within the context of the hard aspects to Saturn, Uranus and Pluto. For example, Jupiter rules exaggeration, or excess. Anything it aspects can be accompanied by more than the usual or required amount of that principle. In addition to dreams and wishes, Neptune also rules water, liquids and fluids. It is not unusual to see great floods or oil spills that threaten lives, food supplies or nature, especially with Uranus and Saturn involved. Saturn represents loss, Uranus rules sudden, shocking events, and Pluto can represent the threat of destruction or death. Natural disasters may be in great abundance during this year and even into 2010. But Neptune also rules tears and sadness. Symbolically, Jupiter with Neptune can correspond to a time of great sadness and many tears. With Pluto in Capricorn, being squared by Saturn, the potential loss of a popular leader, or for large numbers of people being claimed by floods, earthquakes, tsunamis and hurricanes is within the realm of possibilities during the configuration of planets during 2009-2010.
2009 will be a year of extremes. On the one hand, Saturn in challenging aspect to Uranus and Pluto indicates threats to stability that confront the world. This affects the global economy, financial markets, security and terrorist attacks. There are dangers of falling into a deep depression. The danger of an increase in terrorist attacks is a possibility with Saturn moving into its waning square to Pluto. There is a danger of increase in political assassinations worldwide with Pluto in Capricorn.
Yet there is hope and belief in a better future. There is the belief that through positive thinking our world leaders can come together to solve the serious problems and instill faith in a bright future. With Aquarius featuring so prominently in the line-up, people will want to take responsibility for their own future. There will be the growth of community and the masses caring and becoming responsible for their destiny.
The polarity will swing from the emotions of fear to hope. They will be with us throughout 2009-2010. There will be difficult times, but as long as there is hope, we can move forward. Uranus, Neptune and Pluto are all in their waxing phase (conjunction to opposition), to one another for many more decades and these are longer-term trends and cycles than those involving just Saturn alone. They offer great hope for the world to solve the issues we face.
