Saturn in Scorpio: Global and Personal Predictions, 2012-2015 by Barbara Goldsmith
On October 5th 2012, Saturn moves out of Libra and into Scorpio, where it will stay for the best part of the next three years until September 18th 2015. It has a brief period in Sagittarius for the first six months of 2015 before returning to Scorpio from June 16th until September 18th 2015.
What does Scorpio rule? It rules sex, death, the elderly, rebirth, debts, losses, taxes, investments, legacies, inheritances, stocks, bonds, joint finances, the police, security, surgeries, secrets, obsessions, psychotherapy and that which is unseen and hidden.
How will it affect us globally and on a personal level? This article covers some of the issues that I predict will be triggered around the world and I also give you the summaries for each Sun sign and how you can make best use of its energies.
During Saturn’s transit of Libra we saw issues concerning the people, justice and fairness. There were uprisings in Egypt, Syria, Tunisia, Libya, Greece…governments were overthrown and there were revisions to employment laws.
During Saturn in Scorpio, we’ll see a huge focus on taxes: how much to pay, who should pay it, what is fair and what is not. Governments will want to change the tax structures completely in the name of fairness but there are likely to be hidden agendas. Saturn in Scorpio tends to favour a conservative position, so it’s likely there will be more cuts to public services.
Scorpio rules sex so you can expect to see issues coming up around sex and sexuality. There will be more sex offenders out on the streets committing obscene acts, and because of the reduction of police numbers due to drastic cost cutting measures, there will not be enough supervision and follow up. We will have to find ways of protecting ourselves by looking after one another in smaller groups and in our communities. We will have to take much more responsibility for our lives and not rely on the government looking after us in the way many of us have grown accustomed. We’ll see changes in the laws for pornography and prostitution, more sex scandals and gender issues.
Scorpio rules the sexual organs, so there will be issues around fertility, cloning, creating life from the unseen and more “designer babies.”
Saturn in Scorpio may put corrupt people in a position of authority and as Saturn is in mutual reception with Pluto, which means that Saturn is in Pluto’s sign and Pluto is in Saturn’s sign, you can expect to see issues around the police force and how law and order is maintained. With the numbers of police being drastically cut back it will be once again up to us to police them before they police us.
There will be lots of desperate people out there who will look for short cuts in order to survive. When people have lost everything they take desperate measures because they feel they have nothing to lose. They will justify stealing and looting other peoples’ property. You can expect taxes to increase as governments desperately try to repay their escalating debts. Uranus rules the internet and Capricorn rules government and we’ll see governments trying to regulate and impose taxes and limit our freedoms on the internet.
During this transit it is likely that the global debt situation will escalate and grow exponentially. Banks and financial institutions will continue to have problems and the abuse of other peoples’ money will come to light. There will be a demand for accountability. There will be more fraud than ever before: extensive money laundering, insurance fraud, bank fraud, government fraud. There will be many fraud cases connected with insurance companies, bankruptcies and the inability to pay out in case of disaster. Premiums will continue to rise, there will be new schemes and the fall of some big names in the industry as well as some mergers. On a personal level, try to pay off any debts you have as soon as you possibly can and try not to run up big credit card bills that you are unable to pay off on a monthly basis.
With the overlay of Pluto square to Uranus during this transit, we will see extremes in everything around us. There will be those who accumulate great wealth and those who lose everything. Financial tensions worldwide will deepen with the greater manipulation of the markets, debts ballooning out of control and QE to infinity confirmed.
We’ll see a flare up of anti-immigration sentiment as illegal refugees fleeing war-torn and impoverished nations flood into Europe seeking jobs and security. With many European economies already severely depressed with scarce employment opportunities, the asylum seekers will be blamed for increases in crime and drugs and for the social services, health and welfare systems that are already beyond bursting point.
It will become much more difficult to protect your privacy and you can expect new laws in this area to be introduced. There will be more invasive measures and it will be harder to protect your identity. Think very carefully before you give any personal information to anyone as it could have very serious consequences down the line.
Death and dying come under Scorpio’s domain and we will see changes in the laws concerning death: euthanasia, abortion, the abolishment or changes to the death penalty, care of the elderly, new anti-aging studies and products.
Scorpio rules psychotherapy, mental power, the ability to think deeply and to understand the mysteries of the world. This whole field will receive greater validation during Saturn’s transit in Scorpio and you will see many new ideas emerging in the form of books, seminars, workshops, trainings: how to create what you want in your life using your mind power.
Saturn’s effect on the Sun signs:
Aries
It’s vital that you get your finances in order, pay off any debts if you have them and don’t run up credit card debt that you cannot afford to pay off at the end of the month. You may have issues to deal with around insurance, your banking habits, how you use money and how you see money and what you value in life may start to change. You may question your deepest beliefs especially if you feel you are not living a happy and fulfilling life. What do you need to change in order to feel passionate and motivated? How can you bring out your passions? Many of you don’t know what you are passionate about and you will need to do a great deal of delving. If you are aware of your passion(s), are you living them? Try to be fearless in making the changes that this Saturn transit will call from deep within you. You’ll be seeking greater intimacy in your relationships and you will need to be very careful about any joint ventures you get involved with. Make sure it is with a person or people you know you can trust.
Taurus
This transit of Saturn will shine a light on all of your relationships. How do you connect with other people? Do you feel valued in your relationships or do you feel taken for granted? What changes need to be made? You may find that some relationships will come to an end during this period and it is essential that you take with you the lessons you have learned from these relationships otherwise you will be in danger of repeating them. You will have an opportunity during this time to look at what is important to you on an emotional level and ensure that you get what you need in your relationships. It is vital that you don’t stay in a toxic relationship just out of fear that you will have to be alone. You may get involved with someone older than you or someone who is quite controlling. Make sure you take your time before committing to a new relationship. However, if you have been in a solid relationship for some time, this transit can bring marriage.
Gemini
This Saturn transit puts the focus on your health and your daily habits. You will have the opportunity to put into place better structures for keeping yourself fit and well. If you have not been listening to your body and if you have been eating lots of junk food on a regular basis, now is the time to correct that or you may find that there will be more serious consequences for your health down the line. If you have been meaning to join the gym, to go running, to walk each day, now is the time to do it. If you have been experiencing health challenges, this transit is likely to bring you excellent health professionals who will be able to help you resolve the issues you have been facing. There could also be changes in the workplace. You may lose your job but find that it is a blessing in disguise as it gives you the opportunity to start your own business. You’ll probably need to make some changes to your routines and to ensure that whatever you are doing you become more conscious of your behaviour so that you are not doing things on automatic pilot but really considering whether they support you or not. It’s a good time to declutter your life – your belongings, your body (flush out toxins), get rid of anything that is extraneous.
Cancer
It’s a wonderful time to start your own business during this transit. You will need to do the necessary research and ground work and you will also need to be patient, but if you are ready to put in the hard work required, then success can be yours. It’s especially important that you find what you are really passionate about and then make it into a business. It’s a good time for working on your creativity and for bringing dreams into reality. Don’t be afraid to take risks and to jump into the unknown. You have a tendency to play it safe and to want everything in neat little boxes but this impedes your spontaneity and creativity. You could take on more responsibilities either with your own children or with young people in general. You may find yourself getting into a serious relationship, just make sure it’s what you really want and that there is an equal balance of give and take.
Leo
This transit will focus your energies around your home and family. You may be looking for a new home as there is a likelihood of a move of location, especially for work. If you don’t move, you may find yourself doing renovations and renewing the place you are in. You may take on a mortgage or a long-term commitment. Make sure you have done all the calculations and you have prepared for any worst case scenarios. It is not advisable to take out hefty loans during this transit. There may be issues that come up in relation to your family that will have to be dealt with. Now is the time to face any unpleasantness and deal with it head on rather than avoiding it or hoping it may go away altogether. Do not make any promises you cannot keep and don’t overcommit yourself and take on too many responsibilities connected with your home and family. During this transit it is a great time to begin writing a book or to complete a book you have already started. Keep a journal as you will find that you have many inspired things to write about. It’s a great time to go back to school and to undertake a long-term training for a new career. Anything connected with learning and furthering your education is under favourable aspect. Going on short workshops, seminars and trainings could be also be very valuable to you. You may find yourself teaching others in an area in which you are already an expert. It’s a good time for business communications and especially anything connected with computers, the internet, marketing, advertising, and general promotion. You will have lessons to learn about the way in which you communicate. There could be issues arising with your siblings if you have any and you may end up taking on more responsibility for a sibling. This could also be a friend who feels like a brother or sister to you. You may get involved with helping your community or neighbourhood in a tangible and positive way.
Libra
Saturn finally moves out of your sign on 5th October 2012 and you will breathe a huge sigh of relief as things become much lighter for you. However, don’t allow yourself to relax completely as Saturn now moves into your second house of your values and your money. Having the money to do and have what you want will be how Saturn affects you. How you spend money and how you save money will come under sharp focus. You may need to make some significant changes during this period. The good thing about this cycle is that as long as you are willing to work, the money to meet your needs will be there for you. It doesn’t mean that you won’t be worried about money occasionally, but it is important that you keep your faith through any testing experiences you may undergo. If you are in a job that is not fulfilling for you it may come to an end and you will have the opportunity to find something that gives you more satisfaction and fulfillment.
Scorpio
Saturn will be in your sign for the next two and a half years giving you the opportunity to reinvent yourself completely. You may have already experienced several losses in your life and are feeling as though you are starting from scratch. You may change jobs, you may embark on a totally new career, old relationships drop away and you begin to make changes in your life that reorient you to a more authentic expression of you. It’s vital that you take complete responsibility for your own happiness. Look at the areas in your life where you have been unwilling to change and these are precisely the areas that will be affected by this transit. As a Capricorn, be careful about taking on too much responsibility within an organisation and don’t spread yourself too thin. Be clear about what you want to get out of joining or volunteering in an organisation. New friendships that come into your life at this time will demand more work than you might be used to giving. Think carefully about your dreams and wishes as the saying goes: “be careful what you wish for as you may really get it!” This transit is one in which your dreams can become reality.
Aquarius
This Saturn transit will affect your work, your career and your life path. Do you like the work you are doing? Would you like to change jobs or change the direction of your career. If you have been working very hard in your job or business for the last few years, then this will be a time of reaping the rewards of your hard work. You may achieve not only financial success but outward recognition of your achievements. If you have not been focused on a particular job or business then this is the time to start planting seeds for a new and more fulfilling career. It’s important that you keep up with the latest education, information and trends in your industry. You need to make sure that you don’t take on too many responsibilities and that you are able to do what you say you will otherwise there could be negative repercussions. This is a time to set new and meaningful goals in your life. Make sure that you are able to keep a happy balance between your work and your home life. There is a tendency at this time to be too focused on one or the other. Try to become aware when they are getting out of balance and make the necessary adjustments.
Pisces
During this transit of Saturn it is a good time to think about going back to school and start a new course of study, or you may consider furthering your education in an existing field. It’s a good time to learn a new language and to explore other cultures and countries to expand your horizons. If you would like to get a book published, now is the time to work on it as you can achieve great success during this transit. Is another major disaster on the cards?
Is another major disaster due? / on the cards?
March 22nd seems to be a key date when a major disaster could occur if history repeats itself.
On February 27th 2010 there was an 8.8 megaquake in Chile which shifted the earth on its axis by 3 and a half inches.
188 days later, on September 3rd 2010, there was a 7.1 earthquake in Christchurch, NZ.
189 days later on March 11th 2011, there was a 9.0 megaquake in Japan and this resulted in a shift of the earth’s axis of 10 inches and moved Japan’s coastline by 10 feet.
188 days later on September 15th 2011, there was a 7.3 earthquake in Fiji.
Is the trend going to follow that 189 days later there will be another major disaster? If so, some are predicting that this will occur on March 22nd 2012.
In Australia, since the beginning of 2011, there have been floods of biblical proportions. Only this week over 9000 people were evacuated from Wagga Wagga in New South Wales and the entire business district had to be evacuated in case the river burst its banks. Fortunately it did not, however, there is a huge clean-up to be done and the vast amount of water is making its way eastward and will affect more towns along the way.
Scientists are predicting that the asteroid 2012DA14 is perilously close to earth but that it probably will not hit the earth this year or next. However, who knows what effect it could have? Maybe it will affect our oceans, our tides, our electricity, our ozone layer? I think that the scientists don’t want to be alarmist and are keeping a great deal of information secret.
There are more and more inexplicable animal deaths, from birds to fish and the latest has been 400 dead grey seals off Cape Breton’s coastline.
Huge explosions on the sun's surface are sparking the biggest radiation and geomagnetic storm that Earth has experienced in five years, according to space weather experts. The storm, expected to hit Earth later today and last for around 24 to 48 hours, may disrupt power grids, GPS systems and satellites, and has already forced some airlines to change their routes around the polar regions.
The Prairie Island Nuclear Power Plant in Minnesota issued its second emergency notification of 2012 a couple of days ago. Officials at the nuclear plant reported an "unusual event" at 6:24 a.m. after there was a decrease in water levels inside the one of the reactors during a refueling outage. According to a press release there was no release of radioactive materials and there is no danger to the public or plant employees.
This comes almost exactly two months after the highest nuclear alert in Minnesota history was reported at Prairie Island after more than 500 gallons of chlorine bleach was spilled after a PVC pipe burst.
As usual the authorities are saying that everything is under control. But is it really or are they just trying to stop people from panicking?
With many nuclear reactors having been built on known fault lines, with fracking for gas also going on known fault lines, is it any wonder that the severity and number of disasters is increasing around the world?
In Japan, they have to test the vehicles before sending them overseas. When it rains the readings for radioactivity go up enormously and that’s on the west coast, far away from the nuclear disaster. With the debris from the disaster travelling on our oceans far and wide, with radioactivity levels being played down by the powers that be, it’s difficult to know where to run or where to hide. We are all being affected.
Everyone is noticing changing weather patterns. No matter where you live, there are unusual happenings. Here in New Zealand, the northern part of the North Island usually has the best weather and lovely hot long summers. This year, we had no summer at all and the rain and cloud has been almost incessant. In Australia, many parts haven’t had a summer either and the weather has been extremely wet, breaking many records and without the intense heat that those regions normally experience. In Canada, I have clients who are astonished that today in Ottawa, it is 12 degrees centigrade in March and raining when they usually have snow and extremely cold weather at this time of the year. They have had an extremely mild winter.
How many more times are we going to hear that this is a “once in a lifetime event” and very unlikely ever to occur again, only to see yet another disaster befall an area with another world-breaking record of torrential rains, tornadoes, earthquakes or any other kind of disaster.
All of these events are connected to the square aspect of Pluto to Uranus and this is increasing in intensity between now and 2015.
I have looked at the four charts for the megaquakes and disasters that have occurred and the recurring themes are Aries, Cardinal signs, Pluto and Uranus. And on March 22nd, we have a combination of a stellium of planets (three or more in one sign) in Aries: Sun conjunct Mercury, conjunct Uranus square to Pluto in Capricorn. These are very combustible aspects and could certainly indicate sudden weather changes, earthquakes and more unusual occurrences around the world.
It’s a risky business to come up with exact dates for events as there are always so many variables, however, I can say that with these aspects you should be prepared as well as you can for any eventuality. You may have to move at short notice, you may not have electricity or power, you may not have a telephone that works, you may not be able to get onto the internet, you may be without basic services. This is not about scaremongering, it’s about being prepared for survival on all levels. Try to connect up with others who are feeling as you are so that you don’t feel too isolated. These are challenging times and the more we can be self-sufficient not depending on the authorities for everything, the better our chances of survival.

Finding your true passion - Mars goes Retrograde - what does it mean for you?
Mars goes Retrograde from 24th January 2012 to 13th April 2012 at 3° - 23° Virgo
Time to reassess your goals, ambitions and desires.
Do you feel as though you are running around in lots of different directions and not getting much done?
Are you stuck in a job you hate?
Are you feeling directionless?
Chances are that during Mars retrograde, any frustrations you’ve been feeling in your work or your relationships will be highlighted and you won’t be able to ignore strong emotions of anger, fear and resentment any longer.
About every two years and two months, when Mars is closest to the earth, it goes retrograde. What does this mean?
Mars is all about your energy, your passion, your drive, your initiative. Wherever Mars is situated in your natal chart shows where you like to put your energy. For example, Mars is in my fourth house, so I enjoy putting energy into my business and I love working from home. I need a great deal of space or I can get into arguments with family and people close to me.
Some of you will have Mars retrograde natally. You probably come from a family in which no one knew how to express their anger. You may internalise your emotions, so that on the surface you appear calm, but inside you are boiling up with rage and resentments. Or you may use passive-aggressive behaviour to get your way rather than being honest and direct about what you are thinking and feeling. You will have to work very hard at learning how to express your anger and to feel safe with it. The house in which your Mars retrograde falls will show where you bottle up your emotions for days, months or even years, and then suddenly you explode and cut yourself off from the situation. You feel anger inside but don’t know how to release it.
You won’t be comfortable with direct confrontation preferring to work alone or indirectly. For example, you would do well as a coach where you are encouraging other peoples’ energies and passions.
I had a client with Mars retrograde in Libra who found it too hard to fire any of her employees. She hired an aggressive guy who loved to fire people and that’s his job. So she put someone in between who could handle confrontations for her.
You might be accident prone so that when you stub your toe on a wall, or trap your finger in a door, you release your anger through a sudden jolt of physical pain.
You might have addictions such as drinking, smoking or gambling in order to suppress your anger. You may complain a lot rather than do anything constructive about your problems. You may also have a lot of angry people around you who are reflecting your inner frustrations that you are unable to express.
The good news is that you will not have Mars retrograde forever as all the planets progress during our lifetime. I had a client with Mars retrograde and several other retrograde planets in his chart. When Mars turned direct in his chart, he stopped gambling, he got involved in twelve-step recovery, he ended an unhealthy relationship and began studying for a new career! His whole life turned around.
If you have Mars retrograde in your second house you may have a sabotage pattern in relation to money. I had a client who worked very hard, saved all his money and then one day had an argument with his wife and on the spur of the moment took out all the money from his savings account and blew it on a new car. Then he had to start saving up all over again.
I’ve known clients with Mars retrograde in the fourth house who get along with family members for years and then suddenly have a huge argument and never speak to them ever again.
Mars retrograde in the seventh house finds it difficult to express anger or strong emotions in a close relationship. A seemingly small trigger can end a long-term relationship overnight.

Astrological Predictions 2012-2013
It’s not surprising that there have been so many prophecies about huge events occurring during 2012. We are still in the midst of the Cardinal Climax, Venus and Mars both go retrograde this year, Jupiter, Saturn and Neptune all change sign, and a series of seven exact squares occurs between Pluto and Uranus from 2012 to 2015.
Last year, I predicted that once Uranus went into Aries we would see more revolts and more civil unrest. All over the Middle East and in Europe we’ve seen demonstrations, riots and discontent. The Occupy movement took roots around the world and I am predicting that this is just the start. There will be more violence, civilians will die, police will be killed and it will become more frenzied as the people see that their leaders are not really listening to them. The square from Uranus to Pluto will intensify the contrast between the majority of the people who feel they are being unjustly treated and the powers that be trying desperately to stay in control and to suppress the peoples’ wishes.
With Pluto in Capricorn since November 2008, we’ve seen an increase in natural disasters and with Uranus squaring Pluto I anticipate that we will see more disasters happening in the most unlikely places. I predicted more disasters this year and sadly that’s what we’ve seen with the series of earthquakes in Christchurch, the tsunami and earthquake in Japan, flooding in Thailand, the recent typhoon in the Philippines to name but a few.
With Neptune moving into Pisces on February 4th, there will be periods of utter calm, when it will feel as though everything is fine and there was nothing to be concerned about. People may ridicule you if you have decided to move to a safer area, or if you are preparing yourself and your family for a possible emergency situation. Don’t be fooled by this. Neptune is the master of illusion, so don’t allow your thinking to become unfocused. When you get the feeling of utter calm, like the calm before a storm, or just before a natural disaster when the animals disappear and the birds stop singing, that’s the time to be on red alert. Do not allow yourself to be lulled into a false sense of security.
With Neptune in Pisces until 2024, we’ll see issues coming up in politics around water. There will be more flooding than ever before, unexpected hurricanes, tornadoes, typhoons and storms and towns and cities will disappear in the twinkling of an eye.
Unemployment will continue to rise, the banks will receive more bailouts and governments will continue to print more money. We are due for a change in our financial system which has become unmanageable and inequitable. Another financial crisis is due. This happens roughly every 40 years. In 1971, Nixon took the US off the gold standard so now all fiat currencies globally are linked to nothing. In fact 97% of all financial transactions take place electronically and only 3% is actual cash! All paper money is just figures on a computer screen and is worth nothing!! It is created out of thin air. There is no substance to our financial system.
Governments can devalue the currency, cutting your wealth in half or worse overnight. This has already happened in countries such as Brazil and South America and there’s no reason why it cannot happen in Europe and in the US.
I predicted that the housing bubbles in the countries that still seemed to be doing well would burst: Australia has just reduced its growth predictions and dropped its interest rates, China’s growth prospects have been cut and New Zealand is also in a recession with property and land prices falling.
We’ll see the transfer of enormous wealth in a heartbeat. Even some of the very wealthy will lose everything overnight. Systems of finance are going to change and no matter what the experts think will happen, the actuality will be different. More people than ever will be affected. Pensions are no longer secure and indeed they may be unable to pay out when the time comes. Insurance companies will go under and people who have paid premiums in good faith may end up with nothing if the company is bankrupt when their house is swept up in a tsunami or a fire burns down everything they own.
With Jupiter in Taurus since June 2011, there has been a huge focus on the banks and financial institutions. They received vast amounts of bailout funds and yet a few months later they have the nerve to post huge profits! Jupiter is still in Taurus until June 11th of 2012, so I am anticipating more bailouts, more money-printing, more recklessness on the part of the banks and more greed and fraud.
Jupiter goes into Gemini on June 11th and the stock sectors that will benefit are anything in communications, new technology, computers, cellphones, writing, transportation. Expect to see huge growth in social networking sites with all the areas that Gemini rules expanding exponentially.
This placement of Jupiter enhances everything connected with communications. We will find exciting new ways of communicating and improving our thinking abilities. There will be a greater focus on the power of the mind and how we can use our minds to heal our bodies in many cases without medical intervention. We’ll see inventions that will increase the speed we can travel both physically and mentally.
There will be a plethora of new gadgets, time-saving devices, new mobile communications tools, more wireless applications, advances in robotics, nanotechnology and everything that helps to save time and energy. We’ll have more time-saving devices, more mobile phones, more applications for those phones, new ways of executing financial transactions and the pace of life will speed up.
Products using nanotechnology will become more widespread. For example, I have a friend in Germany who is thrilled with her nanotechnology cleaning materials. She sprays her toilet and the bathroom and kitchen surfaces just once and then for three months or more, it just stays clean. Dirt rolls off it. Imagine never having to clean another toilet!
We might see a switch to virtual payment systems. Instead of using credit cards or debit cards, you have a device attached to your smartphone that allows you to pay for something right away.
Facebook is rumoured to be going public some time between April and June 2012 but I think it might be closer to June when Jupiter is in Gemini. We might not need the keyboard soon as communications may be voice activated. Look at Siri, the voice-operated personal assistant app on the Apple IPhone. There are others coming out soon and this is set to grow.
Expect to see huge growth in digital information clouds. At some point we’ll be able to stream all our music, TV, movies and books through subscription services. We’ll start to connect in new ways and we’ll know much more about each other.
The influence of Gemini will be about faster communications, understanding more, accomplishing a great deal in a very short time. If you work or are interested in technology, this could be a wonderful field to be involved in during this transit from June 11th 2012 until June 26th 2013.
Jupiter rules the legal system, so in Gemini you can expect to see new laws being enacted quickly and then different ones replacing them just as speedily. Be aware of that and make sure you are not reliant on having the law stay as it is. For example in many western countries the law is on the side of the tenant rather than the landlord. Governments could change this law and put landlords in the driving seat. Or employment law might change radically. In the UK, for example, the law favours the employee who can take their employer to a tribunal in a heartbeat. Those laws could be repealed and employees may find themselves out on their ear if they turn up late one day even with a valid excuse.
Education and learning will be hot topics, and expect to see a huge increase in reading, writing, texting, new mobile phones and appliances, new gadgets, how-to guides.
Because Gemini rules the hands, manual skills will become more prevalent. Handcrafts, drawing, carpentry, typing, music, massage, healing and an increase in people wanting to go back to the land and grow fruits and vegetables and become self-sufficient. Anything involving our hands and how we use our hands will be enhanced.
Gemini rules speech and we will see advances and breakthroughs with those who have difficulty speaking, those with dyslexia, dyspraxia and other learning challenges.
There will be a proliferation of creative games especially for the young. These will be used not only for amusement but also for education and learning.
We’ll see a huge increase in the number of new inventions and in applications for patents and copyrights.
This is a powerful time for people of like mind to come together to create huge changes on our planet. If enough people believe that we can be prosperous and we can come through our economic, social and political woes, we can create it. Jupiter in Gemini unleashes the power of the mind. Make sure you use it well and to your advantage.
Saturn changes sign from Libra into Scorpio on October 5th 2012. I’m sure many Librans will be very relieved to see Saturn leaving their sign! Whilst Saturn is still in Libra we’ll still be seeing issues around social equality, financial equality, equality for the people.
The industries that are ruled by the sign that Saturn is in tend to underperform. During Saturn in Libra those industries are cosmetics, jewellery, clothing, the law. During Saturn in Scorpio it will be security, the police, insurance, funeral industry, banks and financial institutions.
Saturn in Scorpio is in mutual reception with Pluto. This means that Saturn is in Pluto’s sign and Pluto is in Saturn’s sign. It’s similar to having a conjunction of the energies of Pluto and Saturn – and that’s certainly not an easy aspect. The debt situation will reach crisis point globally. In your personal life, try to pay off any debts you have before Saturn goes into Scorpio. We’ll see the debt mountain ballooning out of control around the world. When Saturn comes into Scorpio we’ll finally see a reckoning. On the other hand, we’ll also see even more fraud than ever – insurance fraud, drug fraud, bank fraud.
Issues around morality will be questioned. There are millions of people, especially youngsters, who play virtual games and I predict that there will be a lot of psychological issues coming up with these people not knowing the difference between right and wrong. They are playing these violent games, they are maiming and killing in a virtual reality and then they will come out into the real world and they won’t know the difference between fantasy and reality. Computer games, videos and television are getting in the way of reality and bending people’s perception. They are not seeing clearly and this will result in some serious social problems.
With Scorpio ruling sex, we’ll see sex offenders out on the streets, repeating these terrible acts, and with a reduction in the amount of police due to financial constraints, we’ll see a breakdown of order, and there will not be enough jails to put people in. We will have to find ways of protecting ourselves, looking after one another in smaller groups and communities. We will have to take much more responsibility for our lives and not rely on the government looking after us in the way many of us have grown accustomed.
There will be desperate people who will look for short cuts in order to survive. They will justify stealing from others. This is a time when taxes will go higher as governments desperately try to repay their escalating debts. Uranus rules the internet and Capricorn rules government and we’ll see governments trying to regulate and impose taxes and limitations on internet freedoms.
Anti-immigration feeling will intensify as illegal refugees fleeing war-torn and impoverished nations flood into Europe seeking jobs and security. With economies severely depressed and jobs scarce, the newcomers will be blamed for increases in crime and drugs and for the already strained social services, health and welfare systems. In 2011 some European nations including Denmark and France established border restrictions to circumvent the Schengen Agreement which allows open travel between the twenty five EU countries, and I anticipate that more countries will put up barriers to stem the immigration flow.
In the US we have seen huge crackdowns on illegal immigration especially in Arizona where and Alabama where draconian laws have been introduced. In Arizona, for example, college professors are allowed to carry guns in order to protect themselves. I expect other states to follow suit. I predict that we’ll see thousands if not millions of people deported out of the US and back to their countries.
With Neptune in Pisces we’ll see a parallel universe. Some people will just take themselves out of the reality of hardship, pain and stress of the world they’ve been living in and they will choose to lead a simpler life with less material needs. We’ll see groups of people who choose to grow their own food, supply their own power and live in a self-sufficient manner. They withdraw from society because they want a simpler, easier life. They might live in communities, set up a retreat into nature and be with people who have similar ideals.
One of the wonderful things likely to happen over the next decade is a renaissance in the arts and in music. This will be a wonderful time for musicians, actors, composers and artists of any kind. Because so many will lose huge amounts of wealth overnight, they will reassess their priorities in life. Our artists, musicians, actors, entertainers will gain popularity as people seek simpler pleasures and desire to connect on a deeper more meaningful level.
Creating a society with a higher vibration and a fair destiny for all will involve a shift in consciousness. This has to be acted upon individually and collectively. What will it take? Can we evolve to a higher level? Be a leader in your own life. They received vast amounts of bailout funds and yet a few months later they have the nerve to post huge profits! Jupiter is still in Taurus until June 11th of 2012, so I am anticipating more bailouts, more money-printing, more recklessness on the part of the banks and more greed and fraud.
Jupiter goes into Gemini on June 11th and the stock sectors that will benefit are anything in communications, new technology, computers, cellphones, writing, transportation. Expect to see huge growth in social networking sites with all the areas that Gemini rules expanding exponentially.
This placement of Jupiter enhances everything connected with communications. We will find exciting new ways of communicating and improving our thinking abilities. There will be a greater focus on the power of the mind and how we can use our minds to heal our bodies in many cases without medical intervention. We’ll see inventions that will increase the speed we can travel both physically and mentally.
There will be a plethora of new gadgets, time-saving devices, new mobile communications tools, more wireless applications, advances in robotics, nanotechnology and everything that helps to save time and energy. We’ll have more time-saving devices, more mobile phones, more applications for those phones, new ways of executing financial transactions and the pace of life will speed up.
Products using nanotechnology will become more widespread. For example, I have a friend in Germany who is thrilled with her nanotechnology cleaning materials. She sprays her toilet and the bathroom and kitchen surfaces just once and then for three months or more, it just stays clean. Dirt rolls off it. Imagine never having to clean another toilet!
We might see a switch to virtual payment systems. Instead of using credit cards or debit cards, you have a device attached to your smartphone that allows you to pay for something right away.
Facebook is rumoured to be going public some time between April and June 2012 but I think it might be closer to June when Jupiter is in Gemini. We might not need the keyboard soon as communications may be voice activated. Look at Siri, the voice-operated personal assistant app on the Apple IPhone. There are others coming out soon and this is set to grow.
Expect to see huge growth in digital information clouds. At some point we’ll be able to stream all our music, TV, movies and books through subscription services. We’ll start to connect in new ways and we’ll know much more about each other.
The influence of Gemini will be about faster communications, understanding more, accomplishing a great deal in a very short time. If you work or are interested in technology, this could be a wonderful field to be involved in during this transit from June 11th 2012 until June 26th 2013.
Jupiter rules the legal system, so in Gemini you can expect to see new laws being enacted quickly and then different ones replacing them just as speedily. Be aware of that and make sure you are not reliant on having the law stay as it is. For example in many western countries the law is on the side of the tenant rather than the landlord. Governments could change this law and put landlords in the driving seat. Or employment law might change radically. In the UK, for example, the law favours the employee who can take their employer to a tribunal in a heartbeat. Those laws could be repealed and employees may find themselves out on their ear if they turn up late one day even with a valid excuse.
Education and learning will be hot topics, and expect to see a huge increase in reading, writing, texting, new mobile phones and appliances, new gadgets, how-to guides.
Because Gemini rules the hands, manual skills will become more prevalent. Handcrafts, drawing, carpentry, typing, music, massage, healing and an increase in people wanting to go back to the land and grow fruits and vegetables and become self-sufficient. Anything involving our hands and how we use our hands will be enhanced.
Gemini rules speech and we will see advances and breakthroughs with those who have difficulty speaking, those with dyslexia, dyspraxia and other learning challenges.
There will be a proliferation of creative games especially for the young. These will be used not only for amusement but also for education and learning.
We’ll see a huge increase in the number of new inventions and in applications for patents and copyrights.
This is a powerful time for people of like mind to come together to create huge changes on our planet. If enough people believe that we can be prosperous and we can come through our economic, social and political woes, we can create it. Jupiter in Gemini unleashes the power of the mind. Make sure you use it well and to your advantage.
Saturn changes sign from Libra into Scorpio on October 5th 2012. I’m sure many Librans will be very relieved to see Saturn leaving their sign! Whilst Saturn is still in Libra we’ll still be seeing issues around social equality, financial equality, equality for the people.
The industries that are ruled by the sign that Saturn is in tend to underperform. During Saturn in Libra those industries are cosmetics, jewellery, clothing, the law. During Saturn in Scorpio it will be security, the police, insurance, funeral industry, banks and financial institutions.
Saturn in Scorpio is in mutual reception with Pluto. This means that Saturn is in Pluto’s sign and Pluto is in Saturn’s sign. It’s similar to having a conjunction of the energies of Pluto and Saturn – and that’s certainly not an easy aspect. The debt situation will reach crisis point globally. In your personal life, try to pay off any debts you have before Saturn goes into Scorpio. We’ll see the debt mountain ballooning out of control around the world. When Saturn comes into Scorpio we’ll finally see a reckoning. On the other hand, we’ll also see even more fraud than ever – insurance fraud, drug fraud, bank fraud.
Issues around morality will be questioned. There are millions of people, especially youngsters, who play virtual games and I predict that there will be a lot of psychological issues coming up with these people not knowing the difference between right and wrong. They are playing these violent games, they are maiming and killing in a virtual reality and then they will come out into the real world and they won’t know the difference between fantasy and reality. Computer games, videos and television are getting in the way of reality and bending people’s perception. They are not seeing clearly and this will result in some serious social problems.
With Scorpio ruling sex, we’ll see sex offenders out on the streets, repeating these terrible acts, and with a reduction in the amount of police due to financial constraints, we’ll see a breakdown of order, and there will not be enough jails to put people in. We will have to find ways of protecting ourselves, looking after one another in smaller groups and communities. We will have to take much more responsibility for our lives and not rely on the government looking after us in the way many of us have grown accustomed.
There will be desperate people who will look for short cuts in order to survive. They will justify stealing from others. This is a time when taxes will go higher as governments desperately try to repay their escalating debts. Uranus rules the internet and Capricorn rules government and we’ll see governments trying to regulate and impose taxes and limitations on internet freedoms.
Anti-immigration feeling will intensify as illegal refugees fleeing war-torn and impoverished nations flood into Europe seeking jobs and security. With economies severely depressed and jobs scarce, the newcomers will be blamed for increases in crime and drugs and for the already strained social services, health and welfare systems. In 2011 some European nations including Denmark and France established border restrictions to circumvent the Schengen Agreement which allows open travel between the twenty five EU countries, and I anticipate that more countries will put up barriers to stem the immigration flow.
In the US we have seen huge crackdowns on illegal immigration especially in Arizona where and Alabama where draconian laws have been introduced. In Arizona, for example, college professors are allowed to carry guns in order to protect themselves. I expect other states to follow suit. I predict that we’ll see thousands if not millions of people deported out of the US and back to their countries.
With Neptune in Pisces we’ll see a parallel universe. Some people will just take themselves out of the reality of hardship, pain and stress of the world they’ve been living in and they will choose to lead a simpler life with less material needs. We’ll see groups of people who choose to grow their own food, supply their own power and live in a self-sufficient manner. They withdraw from society because they want a simpler, easier life. They might live in communities, set up a retreat into nature and be with people who have similar ideals.
One of the wonderful things likely to happen over the next decade is a renaissance in the arts and in music. This will be a wonderful time for musicians, actors, composers and artists of any kind. Because so many will lose huge amounts of wealth overnight, they will reassess their priorities in life. Our artists, musicians, actors, entertainers will gain popularity as people seek simpler pleasures and desire to connect on a deeper more meaningful level.
Creating a society with a higher vibration and a fair destiny for all will involve a shift in consciousness. This has to be acted upon individually and collectively. What will it take? Can we evolve to a higher level? Be a leader in your own life. Don’t let Pluto in Capricorn make you fearful of the authorities, keep in mind that Uranus is in Aries which is the opportunity for the masses to break out in an uncharted direction which can bring about prosperity and fairness for us all.
We are interconnected with our economies, our banks and our companies relying on one another as never before. We must not allow those who are greedy, fraudulent and dishonest to get away with it. They must be made accountable. We need a new, fairer system whereby each person can have a chance to reach their potential, to be well-educated and to have access to health and social systems. We can create a better world for ourselves and our children as we emerge from the chaos.
