Libra Forecast 2009

Main themes: home & family, creativity, vision and dreams, personal development and career.

Pluto moved into Capricorn at the end of 2008 where it will stay for the next sixteen years. This affects your fourth house of home and family. It will make the beginning of a sixteen year reconstruction of your entire life. The more you approach this period with the idea of dismantling the things in your life that haven’t worked in the past, and don’t work now with the idea of finding out what will work, the better off you will be. Much honest introspection is required. It is important that you do not go into denial and rationalise everything, but rather look inward for changes and begin to be authentic. This can be a very empowering time for you.

Jupiter went into Aquarius on 5th January 2009 where it will stay for the next year in your fifth house of creativity, pleasure, romance and fun. This makes it a favourable time for making more money. You may be offered new work, or you may expand your own business, especially if sales are involved. You can sell anything to anyone this year. Your powers of persuasion are very strong. You make others want to be involved with you in business activities.

With Neptune aligning with Jupiter this year as well in your fifth house, you may find romance comes into your life and you may even have the greatest love affair of your life. Your charisma will be very strong. If you are married, you will do some pleasurable things with your mate. There is the possibility of travel and social parties. Your physical beauty, grace and charm are at a height. Others will find you extremely attractive and romantic, and many will wish to court you. In choosing new companions it is important that you think longer term. These exceptional aspects for relationships may be fleeting. They may only last a year unless you have made great strides in self-awareness. This means honestly looking at your own issues in relationships and making the effort to understand those issues – and changing them if necessary. If you can do that, then you can have not only one year, but several years of sharing romance and great intimacy with another person.

But inside of you things are stirring. There is restlessness and a sense that something is not quite right. Your history is to look at the external world to find the cause of this foreboding. But that is not its location. It is within you, and it has to do with being honest with yourself – honestly acknowledging your own issues, especially in regards to relationships with others. It may benefit you to seek help from skillful counsellors, or to seek greater spiritual endeavours. Once the awareness comes to you, and the commitment to rebuild the inner dimension, you will on your way to much greater happiness and joy.

Saturn went into Virgo in the fall of 2007 and stays there until the end of October 2009. This means that Saturn therefore, is in your twelfth house. It has been a serious time for you and you have probably felt as though a lot of your life has been on hold. When Saturn moves into your sign, Libra, towards the end of 2009, you will find yourself at a turning point in your life. You will be starting a new thirty year cycle and you will feel as though you are coming out of a cocoon. You may have felt depressed and disoriented. Some of you will have started to build a new career already. If so, once Saturn does go into Libra, it will be the time to put it into a real context. You will need to be quite patient and do the behind-the-scenes work in the meantime. Once Saturn goes into Libra, it will start to become clearer for you.

As far as health is concerned, you do need to watch your diet in 2009 more than usual. You need to be committed to a healthy diet and regular exercise. This has to do with Pluto in Capricorn and the square aspect it makes with your Sun Sign, Libra. Either you will be disciplined and keep these matters under control, or you will grow old and tired very quickly. The choice is yours and it requires action.
